• Account information: Phone number, name, and email address when you sign up or sign in via Google.
• Community data: Your society membership, unit details, and role within the community.
• Usage data: Visitor logs, helpdesk tickets, facility bookings, and other actions you take within the app.
• Device information: Push notification tokens for sending you alerts. We do not collect device identifiers beyond what is necessary for push notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Kamiti community management service.
• To authenticate your identity and manage your account.
• To send you push notifications about visitors, notices, billing, and other community events.
• To facilitate communication between community members, staff, and security.
• To generate billing and accounting reports for your society.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your information is shared only within your community (e.g., your name is visible to other members and security staff for visitor management). We use the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth: For sign-in authentication.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: For push notifications on Android devices.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and industry-standard security practices to protect data at rest. Access to the database is restricted to authorized personnel only.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 7 business days. Some data (e.g., billing records) may be retained for legal and accounting purposes as required by applicable law.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view your personal data in the Profile section of the app.
• Correction: You can update your name and email from your profile.
• Deletion: You can request account deletion at /delete-account.
• Notifications: You can manage push notification permissions from your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Kamiti is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
